PARQUE LURO Natural Reserve, a protected area that is home to 7600 hectares of Calden woodland, of which 1600 hectares are set aside for tourism and recreation.
The park is well-known for its two main interests: one that has to do with Nature itself, the other with History and Culture. Regarding the first one, it is important to highlight the presence of the Calden and the “ciervo colorado” (red deer), but also the European wild boar and the 160 bird species. Considering the second issue, the park stands out for being the first game preserve in Argentina and birthplace for the provincialization of the territory. Moreover, “El Castillo” (The Castle) Museum was declared National Historical Monument.
